Product details: ASTM A335 P91 Seamless Pipes are a seamless ferritic alloy-steel pipe for use in high-temperature applications. The pipes ordered to these specifications shall be suitable for bending and other forming operations. The P grade is referred to as the moly-chrome pipe. These pipes are commonly used in the power plant industries and petrochemical plants, also these are used in refineries. These pipes are often called moly chrome pipes due to the combination of chromium and molybdenum content. The molybdenum content present on it increases the strength of pipes as well as the elastic limit, impact strength, hardenability, and resistance to wear. Moreover, moly content increases the resistance to softening and restricts the growth and makes these pipes less susceptible to embrittlement. The molybdenum is only a single additive that increases higher temperature creep strength in adverse environments. It has also improved corrosion resistance that opposes pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. The chromium content is not replaceable while resisting oxidation in the higher temperatures, however the chromium content increases yield, tensile strength, and hardness at room temperatures. ASTM A335 P91 Seamless Pipes also possess good weldability so it can be welded by all standard welding operations. These pipes are easily machined and formed by standard shop fabrication machines.
