The toughness of ASTM A672 B60 Class 12, 22, 32 Carbon Steel EFW Pipe is very high. These pipes are preferred for application which requires exposure in higher temperatures. In the higher temperature range, there is no risk of strength reduction. It has a higher composition of carbon content that decrease the risk of carbide precipitation range in grain boundaries of pipes even after heat treatments.
These pipes also have good resistance to carbide precipitation range. Moreover, it has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking. These are ideal to use in offshore applications even in the higher levels of brine. Because the composition of alloying elements so that it becomes highly resistive to many acids such as phosphoric acids, nitric acids, acetic acids, formic acids and more. These pipes also serve good performance in environments containing organic and inorganic compounds.
